Director for Consumer Operations within Online Sales and Operations

For four years, Stacy Brown-Philpot served as the Director of Finance for Google's Online Sales & Operations, managing revenue forecasting, budget planning, and business analysis for Google's multi-billion dollar online advertising business. In November 2007, she moved into the operational side of the business by becoming the Director for Consumer Operations within Online Sales and Operations. Her current team is responsible for the product support experience for more than 30 Google products, including Google Apps for small businesses. In her four and a half years at Google, she has launched and built international finance operations, led scalable infrastructure initiatives, created global processes for 3000+ employees, developed sales compensation plans, and provided analytics around the majority of Google's revenue and customer base.

In addition to her core job, Stacy founded the Black Googler Network (BGN), an employee resource group focused on attracting, recruiting, and retaining African-Americans to Google. Her passion in organizing, uniting and motivating people made this organization the cornerstone of employee network groups at Google. Her involvement in BGN and collaboration with executive councils has fueled Google's diversity initiatives and drawn attention to a dire need to expand diversity within the technology industry.

Prior to Google, Stacy enjoyed a varied career that spans finance, operations, and business development. She began her career in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers and went on to work in mergers & acquisitions at Goldman Sachs. She was an associate at SAP Ventures and business development manager at Wily Technology, a Java application performance management company.

Stacy has a B.S. in Economics and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and has an M.B.A. from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.
