Misty Brown

Misty Brown currently serves as Chief People Officer for Bisk. She plays a vital role in the company’s most valuable investments: its people and culture. Misty leads the strategic and tactical design of all Talent and Communications initiatives to attract, retain and develop the best in the industry. Her days are spent passionately immersed in the worlds of human resource management, organizational design, leadership coaching and development and learning and development initiatives, to name a few.

Misty serves as communications counsel to the CEO and executive team, leading values-based strategies to promote increased employee engagement, cross-functional collaboration and community involvement. Every day, she brings her people-first passion to the workplace, demonstrating and living Bisk’s core values and finding new and different ways to make team members see how their work contributes to the company’s mission of transforming the future of education.

Over the course of her 20-year career, Misty has held global executive roles resulting in award-winning cultures, progressive workspaces, engaged communities and sound communication strategies that bolstered the companies’ mission.

A Los Angeles native, Misty holds a Master of Arts in Communication Management from the University of Southern California, a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from the University of Phoenix and is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). A proud Tampa Bay resident, she is mom to a trumpet-playing future basketball great and enjoys traveling with her son to his favorite college campuses and surfing spots. Misty also enjoys shopping for vintage furniture and playing the role of foodie in her spare time.
