Brenda Varney

Brenda Varney is currently the Head of Influence Integration at UCB, Inc. in Smyrna, Ga, North American headquarters for the Belgium-based bio pharma where she is responsible for creating value for people living with severe immunologic diseases through strategies that develop progressive, productive and sustainable relationships with influencers.

Brenda is passionate about healthcare and health issues and has devoted more than 25 years to the field. She began her career as a social worker, where she developed a deep compassion and understanding of patients in both the psychiatric and medical environments. Her sales and marketing career has spanned roles across the biopharmaceutical industry prior to joining UCB in 2008.

Brenda earned her master’s degree in Healthcare Management from Troy University and her bachelor’s in Social Work from the University of West Florida. She is a certified Alliance Manager, and active member of the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals, American College of Healthcare Executives and the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association where she is a past president of the Atlanta Chapter. At UCB, in addition to her role as a member of US iPVU Leadership Team, she is a founding member of U-PAC, Political Action Committee, and Women in Leadership.
