Alejandra Santamaria

Alejandra Santamaria is the president and general manager of Univision Arizona, at Univision Communications Inc., the leading media company serving Hispanic America. In her role, Santamaria is responsible for leading and managing station operations and sales in Phoenix and Tucson across multiple media platforms including TV, Radio and Digital.

Santamaria most recently served as vice president and director of Sales for Univision Arizona. Prior to that she served in various roles at Univision Los Angeles, including director of Local Sales for KMEX-TV Univision 34 and KFTR-TV UniMás 46 as well as senior account executive for the then-recently launched KFTR-TV. Santamaria started her media career as an intern at Univision Los Angeles and was hired as a research analyst upon graduation. She also previously held roles in sales at Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation (HBC) where she last served as an account executive.

Santamaria currently serves as a board member of the Arizona-Mexico Commission, Arizona Broadcasters Association and the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Santamaria is a founding member of UCI’s Women’s Leadership Council, an employee resource group designed to prepare the next generation of women leaders.

Santamaria earned her bachelor of arts in Communications from Loyola Marymount University with a minor in Business.
