Kacy Hutchison
Kacy Hutchison joined Gilead in 2007 and leads North America Government Affairs for the company. Ms. Hutchison is an accomplished government affairs and healthcare policy executive with deep experience envisioning, developing and launching initiatives that advance access to life-saving medicines in the United States.
In her current role, Ms. Hutchison heads Gilead’s Washington, D.C. office, managing U.S. federal and state government relations and overseeing the Frontlines of Communities in the United States (FOCUS) program. FOCUS works with health care systems in highly impacted communities to develop routine HIV and hepatitis C (HCV) screening and linkage to care best practices.
Ms. Hutchison has an extensive background in healthcare policy having joined Gilead from the Office of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, where she served as Deputy Legislative Affairs Secretary and managed the Health and Human Services, Department of Managed Health Care and Veteran Affairs portfolios. She is a former board member of AIDS Project Los Angeles and the National Kidney Foundation of Northern California and Nevada. Ms. Hutchison earned her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley and her Juris Doctorate at American University, Washington College of Law. She is a retired member of the New York bar.
