Kim Riley

Industry Experience
Kim joined Hylant in 2011 with over 30 years in the insurance industry. In her role as president, she is responsible for the overall leadership, direction, growth and success of the office. Kim focuses on leveraging the strengths of her teams by building on their talents, expertise and industry specialization. Before joining Hylant, she served as the president for First Horizon Insurance Group and First Tennessee Insurance Services, property and casualty agencies, and is a past vice president serving in various capacities for CNA Insurance Company. Some of Kim’s most recent speaking engagements were at the Institute of Accountancy Management, Kent State, Oatey, Cleveland State and Case Western Reserve.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
An active and visible member of the communities in which she lives and serves, Kim is an active member of the Northeast Ohio Advisory Board for the Cleveland Federal Reserve Bank. Kim created and launched Accelerant, a business development group, served as Chairman of the Board for the March of Dimes Music City Division, recognized as Business Journal’s Women of Influence, was an Athena Award nominee in 2014. She is currently involved with the Class of Leadership Cleveland, 2017 Board Achievement Center for Children and 2017 Smart Women’s Award.

SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS
Kim is a dynamic speaker. Topics of her presentations include “Networking- How to Build a Pipeline” and “How to Find Your Voice.” Her presentations engage the audience in a way that makes them feel comfortable and part of the process. Her approach is not a canned delivery, but rather a highly customized process to meet the task at hand. Kim’s keynote speeches are presented to the audience with a wonderful spirit, passion and the right amount of wit to keep the audience engaged. Kim has spoken at events for Skoda Minotti, PRADCO, Insurance Board of Northern Ohio, Northeast Ohio RIMS, the 20/30 Club of Cleveland, and the Flourish Conference for Women in Leadership.

Education and Accreditations
Kim graduated from Clark State Community in Springfield, Ohio and received a bachelor of arts degree from Trevecca University in Nashville, Tennessee. She is a graduate of Belmont University’s Scarlett Leadership Program, and is certified in Harvard’s Negotiation Techniques. Kim also is a Fellow in the Life Management Institute, and holds insurance licenses in multiple states for life, health, property and casualty. Kim is also a member of Leadership Cleveland, class of 2017.
