Deborah W. Yue
Deborah Yue is a partner at Gallagher Sharp LLP and concentrates her practice on insurance, business and general liability litigation. She represents businesses, insurance companies, and individuals in a wide variety of civil litigation, including third-party lawsuits arising out of motor vehicle accidents. She also counsels insurance clients and claims personnel on coverage issues, claims practices and the avoidance of bad faith. She represents businesses regarding contracts, entity formation, and other business issues. Ms. Yue received her Juris Doctorate from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Writing from Carnegie Mellon University. She is licensed to practice law in Ohio and Maryland.
Ms. Yue is the President of the Carnegie Mellon University Alumni Association and serves as an Ex Officio Trustee on the Carnegie Mellon University Board of Trustees. In addition, she is a member of the Carnegie Mellon Admissions Council.
Ms. Yue has held leadership positions in a number of professional organizations, including the American Bar Association Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section, Ohio State Bar Association, Asian American Bar Association of Ohio, Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Foundation and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. She is a Life Member of the Judicial Conference for the Eighth Appellate District. She serves as a mentor for the Ohio Supreme Court’s Lawyer to Lawyer mentoring program.
She is an active community leader and serves on the Executive and Finance Committees of the Cleveland Asian Festival, the Board of Directors of OCA Greater Cleveland, the International Cleveland Community Advisory Committee of the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Community Advisory Board of Ideastream and the Scholarship Selection & Advisory Committee of The Cleveland Foundation. In 2013, Ms. Yue was recognized in Kaleidoscope Magazine’s “Women Who Give Back.” In 2014, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association’s Women in Law Section and the Association of Corporate Counsel recognized her as one of the “Women in Law Making a Difference.”
