Annie Amaral is a partner in the litigation practice at Downey Brand LLP, Sacramento’s largest law firm. Highly regarded for her complex business litigation and advocacy skills, Annie has successfully navigated both federal and state courts alike and has prevailed at the trial and appellate levels in both systems. With each case Annie applies a mix of smart, aggressive advocacy and efficient work ethic to achieve optimal results for clients. Annie’s complex litigation practice includes banks and financial institutions, industrial and land use companies, retail distributors, and solo entrepreneurs, to name a few.
Passionate about helping children, Annie currently serves on the Board of Junior Achievement of Sacramento and previously served on the Board of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation for the Northern California Inland Chapter from 2009 to 2014, an organization near and dear to her heart (Annie was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when she was 11 years old).
Annie earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and her undergraduate degree in communications and government from California State University, Sacramento. She is a member of the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce Leadership Sacramento, Class of 2017, and was recently recognized as one of the area’s Young Leaders by Comstock’s magazine.
