Cherie Axelrod

Cherie Axelrod is currently the Deputy Chief Compliance Office and Vice President of the SWB. Cherie Axelrod joined the Western Union as the Director of Project Management in November 2012 and was promoted to Vice President in July 2013. Prior to joining Western Union Cherie worked in telecommunications for Qwest, U S West and GTE Hawaiian Tel. During her career in Telecom she was a Finance Executive Director supporting the Consumer/ Small Business division, Program Director managing the divestiture of the white pages business, multiple regulatory roles and program management roles for large projects in the Asia / Pacific region. Cherie has an Industrial Management/ Industrial Engineering degree from Purdue University and an MBA from Chaminade University.
