Alethea Batts
Alethea M. Batts is the Director of Learning and Organization Development at Lakeland Bank. In this role, she manages learning strategy and organizational development, including Succession Planning, Talent Management, Diversity and Inclusion, and Leadership Development and Mentorship programs.
Alethea has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Lakeland Bank, she spent most of her career as the New Jersey Area Director for Citibank and Senior Vice President and Consumer Market Executive for the Bank of America, leading and managing Retail Operations throughout New York and New Jersey.
Alethea holds an undergraduate degree from Princeton University. She is a graduate of the Consumer Bankers Association for Retail Executive Management program at the University of Virginia.
Alethea is deeply committed to community development. She is a Leadership New Jersey fellow, a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and the Past-Eastern Regional Vice President of the Urban Financial Services Coalition. She actively participates in the Music Ministry of Fountain Baptist Church in Summit, NJ. Alethea resides in Scotch Plains, NJ with her daughters, Alana and Mikaela.
