Shantelle Jenkins, Ed.D
Shantelle K. Jenkins earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she was Vice President of the Cato College of Education Graduate Student Council; Master of Science in Professional Education from Saint Joseph’s University (PA); and was admitted to the inaugural class of the John Glenn School of Public Affairs (now John Glenn College of Public Affairs) earning dual degrees in Public Affairs Journalism (BAJ) and Political Science (BA) from The Ohio State University.
Dr. Shantelle K. Jenkins is a faculty doctoral advisor and adjunct faculty member in the Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership (Ed.D.) program at Franklin University. She is also a workshop instructor for the Voinovich Academy for Excellence in Public Service at Ohio University and is a reviewer for the following four journals - Education Leadership Review, Education Leadership Review of Doctoral Research, International Journal of Educational Leadership Preparation, and Mentoring and Tutoring: Partnership in Learning. Dr. Jenkins has over 17 years of experience in academic higher education leadership and teaching and began her career in education as a research assistant for the Ohio Department of Education and has an extensive background in assessment and accreditation.
Concurrently, Dr. Jenkins serves as an instructor and dissertation advisor for Cabrini University (PA) in the department of Educational Policy and Leadership at Cabrini University where she teaches and develops curriculum as an expert faculty member who used research-based practices and theory to prepare doctoral students to become leaders of educational organizations. Dr. Jenkins is a faculty lead collaborator for an Academic Think Tank in partnership with faculty in the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management at Temple University, she has guest lectured on topics related to diversity, equity and inclusion, and has presented at both national and international conferences. Dr. Jenkins has a certificate in non-profit management from Bryn Mawr College and enjoys serving her community through philanthropic efforts. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Links Incorporated, and is a life member of The Ohio State University Alumni Association. Her research interests include executive coaching, women in leadership, succession planning, equity and inclusion, and faculty development.
