Dionne Broadus

Dionne Broadus is the Vice President of Development and External Affairs at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. In this role she engages donors and partners to help the Rock Hall fulfill its mission to engage, teach and inspire through the power of rock and roll. She leads a 12-person division that encompasses Individual, Foundation/Government, Corporate, Membership, Trustee and Museum 2.0 Campaign Giving, as well as Inductee and Artist Relations. Broadus has over 17 years of experience in fundraising, donor stewardship, external relations, board and community engagement. She joined the Rock Hall from Case Western Reserve University, where she served as Associate Dean, Development and External Relations at the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences. During her five years at Case Western Reserve, she held senior staff roles in local government, community and foundation relations. Before returning to her hometown of Cleveland from New York City, Dionne held senior leadership positions in development, corporate partnerships and external affairs for BET Networks; the High Line; the National Basketball Association; the NYC tourism board in Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s administration; and Essence Magazine’s Essence Music Festival.

Dionne earned a B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh Honors College, a J.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and a Women in Leadership Certificate from the Weatherhead School of Management. Before her development and external affairs career, Ms. Broadus practiced corporate law in Chicago.

Ms. Broadus is actively engaged in the Cleveland community. Ms. Broadus serves on the Board of University Circle Inc. She is a member of the Greater Cleveland Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, the Cleveland Chapter of The Links, Incorporated and Girl Friends, Inc A University Heights native, she resides in the University Circle neighborhood and loves sports, reading, travel, and jewelry.
