Robin Williams

Robin Williams is the Department Director for the City of Dayton’s Department of Recreation and Youth Services, with over 27 years of service with the City. As Director, she is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of the City’s leisure strategy, which provides the framework for the City of Dayton’s leisure and recreation services.

This encompasses the City of Dayton’s golf courses and recreation centers, the Dayton Convention Center, and all youth and adult programs. Those programs include fitness and aquatics, athletic leagues, senior programs, summer day camps, and community events such as the Downtown Summer Music Series, the Dayton World Soccer Games and the Lights in Flight Fireworks and Festival.

This work is important to Robin who believes the impact of leisure and recreation activities impact our community and region far beyond the fun of the game. She believes the impact touches the physical, social and economic health of our community, by fostering a culture that combats obesity and social isolation in a safe environment.

Robin is a City of Dayton Leader Development Graduate, Top Flight Service & Organizational Leadership Award recipient, The City of Dayton’s 2017 United Way Chair, leading the City to nominations for two Pinnacle Awards and the recipient of United Way’s Most Improved Campaign award. Lastly, Robin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, majoring in finance, from the University of Tennessee. She is a mother of three and though her name would lead you to believe differently, she has never been able to tell a good joke.
