Christa Hyson is the Senior Manager of External Relations and Public Information Officer at The Health Collaborative and the State of Ohio Wellness Coordinator for Team Rubicon. Christa’s work arms the public, community partners, and government agencies with functional health knowledge. Her blended background in both science and art serve as an innovative platform for building public health prevention programs, policies, and environments. She is also the creator of Not Even Once, a project funded by People’s Liberty that aims to implement HOPE (Health and Opioid Abuse Prevention Education). She is also the 2017 & 2018 recipient of The President’s Volunteer Service Award for actions taken during Hurricane Harvey recovery. Prior to working for The Health Collaborative, Christa worked for Cincinnati Health Department, El Paso County Public Health, and The U.S. Army Continuing Education System. Christa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Xavier University, and has a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Florida.
